ASI 502 100% RTV Silicone Caulk – 10.2 oz. Cartridge, Translucent Gray
The ASI 502 100% RTV Silicone Caulk in translucent gray is a one-component, moisture cure, acetoxy silicone in a 10.2 oz. caulking cartridge, and is a different color from the opaque gray in the same range.
Key Features
- Translucent gray, published by American Sealants as trans gray. It is a distinct color from the opaque stock gray, color code GR.
- One-component, moisture cure, acetoxy silicone. It cures to a durable rubber with no mixing.
- American Sealants publishes the cured rubber as able to withstand a variety of extreme environments.
- 10.2 oz. caulking cartridge for a standard cartridge caulking gun.
- A made-to-order color rather than one of the eight ASI 502 stock colors.
Who Is This For?
Installers working gray-toned quartz, porcelain and concrete surfaces who want the joint to disappear into the material instead of drawing a solid gray line across it. Common on waterfall seams, sink rails and shower curbs.
What This Is Not For
Do not order this expecting the opaque gray; trans gray is translucent and the substrate shows through it. For a joint that must be painted, ASI 174 Siliconized Acrylic Latex Caulk is the paintable sealant in the American Sealants range, in white or clear.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is trans gray the same as gray?
No. American Sealants publishes trans gray and gray as two different ASI 502 colors. Trans gray is translucent and lets the substrate show through; gray, color code GR, is opaque.
What gun does the cartridge fit?
ASI 502 is packaged in a 10.2 oz. caulking cartridge, the size an ordinary cartridge caulking gun takes.
Does the silicone need a hardener?
No. ASI 502 100% RTV Silicone is one-component and moisture cure: it takes the water it needs from the air.
How many come in a case?
American Sealants publishes 24 per case for ASI 502 stock colors and publishes no case figure for its made-to-order translucent colors, so a case count for those colors is not a manufacturer fact.
