The ASI 335 Neutral Cure RTV Silicone Sealant in black is a one-part, non-slump, moisture-cure silicone in a 10.2 oz. caulking cartridge that cures to a tough, permanently flexible rubber on stone, metal, glass, fiberglass, vinyl and wood.
Neutral cure means it releases no acetic acid as it skins, so it has little odor and is the choice over an acetoxy silicone such as the ASI 502 100% RTV Silicone Caulk where the joint meets sensitive metals or where vinegar smell in an occupied kitchen is a problem. Like any silicone it will not take paint; a joint that must be painted needs a siliconized acrylic latex caulk instead.

What is the difference between ASI 335 and ASI 502?

How long until it is cured?
American Sealants publishes a 20 minute skin time at 70°F and 50% relative humidity and a 24 hour full cure for a 1/8 in. bead. Thicker beads take longer.
Can it be painted?
No. It is a 100% silicone and paint will not adhere to it. Choose the color you need; black is a stock color.
What temperatures does it handle?
Apply between -35°F and 150°F. Once cured it serves from -50°F to 400°F, with intermittent exposure to 450°F.
