The outer ring is a copper-resin hybrid bond and the inner ring is a resin and diamond matrix; the manufacturer states the hybrid bond cuts faster and lasts longer than a traditional resin pad and refines the surface to eliminate swirl marks.
This is a medium-fine grit that clears the 200 grit scratch and brings the surface to a honed finish.
