Omni Cubed Kung Fu Tape is a 1.9 in. (45 mm) wide polyethylene vinyl tape with a synthetic rubber backing, made in the USA, used to hold a seam, miter or lamination closed while the adhesive cures. It stretches enough to act like a clamp, conforms around edges and corners, and Omni Cubed states it removes residue-free for up to 10 days.

Serrated edges let it be torn by hand, so no knife is needed on a ladder or over a finished top. This is a holding tape, not a surface-protection film and not a painter's masking tape.

Key Features

  • 1.9 in. (45 mm) wide, the manufacturer's stated width
  • Polyethylene vinyl with a synthetic rubber backing
  • Stretches and holds tension, so it pulls a seam or miter tight instead of just covering it

  • Residue-free removal for up to 10 days, per Omni Cubed
  • Made in USA
  • Supplied as a sample roll with the Miter-It, the Waterfall Jack and the 90-degree Stealth Seamer, so this is the refill

What's Included

  • Rolls of Kung Fu Tape (see note on case quantity below)

Who Is This For?

Fabricators and installers holding miters, laminations, waterfall joints and seams closed while epoxy sets, and shops buying a case rather than single rolls. It is also used in glass, tile, cabinet and woodwork for the same reason - a tape that pulls tight and leaves nothing behind.

Frequently Asked Questions

How wide is Kung Fu Tape?

Omni Cubed publishes the width as 1.9 in. (45 mm). Some distributor listings state 1.89 in., which is the same measurement.

How long can it stay on the material?

Omni Cubed states residue-free removal for up to 10 days.

Why use it instead of masking tape?

It stretches and holds tension, which is what lets it pull a miter or a seam tight while adhesive cures - a paper masking tape has no stretch and tears under that load. For simple surface protection during fabrication, a protection tape such as Alpha Nichigo G-Tape 1008 Series is the more suitable product.

Can it be torn by hand?

Yes - the serrated edges are designed for hand tearing, so no blade is needed near a finished surface.

How many rolls are in this case, and how long is each roll?

The 20-roll case quantity and the 60 yd roll length for this part number come from a distributor listing, not from Omni Cubed's own published pack list, which shows 25 yd rolls in 1 and 3 packs and 60 yd rolls in 1, 3 and 10 packs. Please confirm the case quantity with us before ordering to a fixed count.
