The Superior Stone Products E-1500-S Tile & Stone Setting Epoxy is a two-part slow set epoxy for bonding natural stone and tile to substrates, mixed 2.4 parts Part A to 1.0 part Part B by weight and supplied as a 1 Gallon Unit.

Key Features

  • Mix ratio 2.4:1 by weight, Part A to Part B - not the 1:1 used by Superior's E-1000 and E-1010 fabrication epoxies.
  • Published substrates: existing tile, plywood, backer board, concrete and masonry, for setting natural stone and tile.
  • Supplied as a 1 Gallon Unit with the Part B can packed inside the Part A tub, so one container holds the whole kit.
  • Slow Set is Superior's own grade name for this epoxy.
  • Rated by Superior for indoor and outdoor use, and positioned as a comparison to ProSpec B-150.

Who Is This For?

Tile setters and stone installers bonding slab, tile or tread down to a substrate on site, particularly over existing tile or concrete where a mortar bed is not an option. Also used by fabrication shops doing installation work rather than benchwork.

What This Is Not For

This is a setting epoxy, not a seaming or laminating adhesive, so it is the wrong product for building a miter, rodding a cutout or filling a chip at the bench; the Superior Stone Products Epoxy E-1000 & E-1010 - 2-Quart Unit, E-1010, Knife Grade covers knife grade fabrication work and the E-1000 flowing grade covers pours. Note also that anyone used to Superior's fabrication epoxies must re-read the ratio: this one is 2.4:1 by weight, not 1:1.
