The Dixon Industrial Marking Crayon 05010 is a red, round, 5 in. x 9/16 in. wax marking crayon sold 12 per box, made for bold, long-lasting marks on stone, tile, cardboard, wood and metal.
It is a softer, fatter crayon than the hexagonal Dixon Lumber Crayon and is the one packers and shippers reach for to write on slabs, crates and boxes. On polished stone the wax mark wipes off with acetone or a shop rag; on rough or honed surfaces use it for layout and slab numbering where a pencil will not show.

What This Crayon Is Not For
Not a pencil for fine templating lines and not a permanent marker: wax marks smear under handling and can transfer to adjacent slabs in a rack. For precise layout on polished stone use a china marker or a fine-tip marker; for wood layout with a sharper edge use the Dixon Lumber Crayon (hexagonal, 4-1/2 in. x 1/2 in.) also stocked here.

Will the mark come off polished granite or quartz?
