The Xpeed Premium Core Drill Bit is a 3-3/4 in. diamond core bit with a 5/8 in.-11 arbor, for drilling faucet, plumbing and anchor holes in granite and engineered stone, wet or dry.
Xpeed coats the barrel with diamond inside and out, which keeps the core from binding and lets the bit clear cut waste. It threads directly onto a 5/8 in.-11 grinder or polisher; a water-fed polisher needs the polisher maker's adapter.

Porcelain, Dekton and other ultra-compact slabs, where a thin-wall porcelain bond is needed - use the Diamax Cyclone Ultra Core Bit – 2 in., for Dekton, Porcelain & Ultra-Compact or its size siblings. This bit is also not a CNC core bit; it has a grinder thread, not a 1/2 in. Gas shank.

Why is the barrel coated inside as well as outside?
The inner coating keeps the core slug from seizing in the barrel so the bit clears and drills smoothly.
Is 3-3/4 in. the finished hole size?
The nominal 3-3/4 in. is the bit diameter; the hole will be very slightly larger than the barrel, as with any core bit.
