The APEXX Green Thin-Wall Core Bit is a 2-1/4 in. wet core bit on a 5/8 in.-11 thread for drilling holes in porcelain and ultra-compact surfaces such as Dekton, Neolith and Lapitec. Ocean Diamond builds it with top-quality diamond in a super-soft metal bond so it keeps cutting through the hardest sintered slab instead of glazing over, and states that the line is approved by Cosentino for Dekton.
This is a wet-only bit: Ocean Diamond specifies constant cooling water during drilling to avoid overheating. It is not the right bit for granite, engineered quartz or quartzite — the soft bond wears away quickly on those materials. For engineered stone, granite and quartzite, use an ELEMENT Dry/Wet Core Bit or ELEMENT-X Core Bit, or the Diamax Cyclone Dry/Wet Core Bit, which is stocked in the widest run of sizes.
