The TST Dark Matter Tile Saw Blade is a 10 in. wet-only diamond blade with 10 mm segments and a reinforced core for clean, straight cuts in porcelain, glazed tile, granite, marble and travertine on a tile saw.

Tile and Stone Technologies builds it for the two failure modes of tile cutting: chipping on glazed and porcelain faces, and wander on large-format pieces. The reinforced core keeps the cut straight across a long tile, and the 10 mm segment gives it the life of a stone blade rather than a thin continuous-rim tile blade. The 10 in. is 0.050 in. thick with a 5/8 in. arbor and hub for 10 in. wet saws. It is wet-only; for a blade you can also run dry on a grinder, use the Zenesis Z-Turbo Blade – 6 in.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Dark Matter cut?

Tile and Stone Technologies publishes it for glazed floor tile, porcelain pavers, granite, marble, travertine and other natural stone.

Can I run it dry?

No. The Dark Matter is rated wet use only.

What saws does the 10 in. fit?

Any 10 in. wet tile saw with a 5/8 in. arbor. The 12 in. and 14 in. sizes in the line use a 60 mm-1 in. arbor.

How thick is the blade?

The 10 in. is 0.050 in. thick per the Tile and Stone Technologies product sheet.

Why a 10 mm segment on a tile blade?

It carries far more diamond than a thin continuous rim, so blade life is longer and cost per cut lower; the reinforced core keeps it tracking straight in spite of the taller segment.
