The Alpha Twincur GEM-V Polishing Wheel is a 6 in. hook-and-loop polishing wheel in 3000 grit for straight and beveled edge polishing. In Alpha's 50 to 3000 grit sequence, 3000 grit is the final polishing grit in the sequence. Alpha lists the line for granite, engineered stone and quartz surfaces, marble, limestone, concrete, crystallized glass and porcelain slabs, and states that Cosentino recommends it as a Dekton polishing system.

This is the hook-and-loop version. If your machine takes Snail Lock tooling directly, the Alpha Twincur GEM Polishing Wheel is the same line in a Snail Lock attachment. To run these hook-and-loop wheels on a Snail Lock machine, use the Alpha Twincur GEM-V Hook & Loop Snail Lock Adapter, 6 in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this approved for Dekton?

What is the difference between GEM-V and GEM?

GEM-V is hook and loop; GEM is Snail Lock. The abrasive line is the same and the grit sequence matches.

Where does 3000 grit sit in the sequence?

Alpha builds the line in 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000 and 3000 grit, plus a Tsuya final polishing wheel. 3000 grit is the final polishing grit in the sequence.

How do I mount a hook-and-loop wheel on a Snail Lock machine?

With the Alpha Twincur GEM-V Hook & Loop Snail Lock Adapter, 6 in., which presents a hook-and-loop face to the wheel and a Snail Lock mount to the machine.
