Diamax Super Cyclone Reverse Thread Mandrel – 25 mm Short, 1/2 Gas Male to M12 Female
The Diamax Super Cyclone Reverse Thread Mandrel is a 25 mm short shaft that mounts an M12 reverse-thread incremental cutting tip on a 1/2 in. Gas CNC spindle.
Diamax builds this mandrel for its reverse-thread Super Cyclone tip (FBSTIP-RT). A standard-thread tip will not seat on it; for the standard tips Diamax offers the 35 mm short mandrel (FBSM35) and the 70 mm mandrel with brass sleeve (FBSTIP-M); neither is stocked here at present.
Key Features
- 25 mm shaft length (Diamax 'short')
- 1/2 in. Gas male machine side
- M12 female tip side, reverse thread
- Pairs with the Diamax reverse-thread Super Cyclone incremental tip (FBSTIP-RT)
- Diamax also lists a 70 mm reverse-thread mandrel (FBSM-RT) for deeper reach
- Wet use, on CNC and sink cut-out machines, per Diamax
Not Recommended For
Standard (right-hand) M12 tips, which need the FBSM35 or FBSTIP-M mandrel instead. Not an adapter for Ocean Diamond APEXX tips - those use the APEXX Incremental Bit Adapter.
Who Is This For?
CNC shops running Diamax Super Cyclone reverse-thread incremental tips who want the shortest shaft for rigidity on shallow sink cut-outs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does RT mean in the part number?
Reverse thread. The M12 tip thread on this mandrel is left-hand, matching Diamax's FBSTIP-RT tip.
What machine thread does it fit?
1/2 in. Gas male, the common CNC spindle thread for finger bits and incremental tooling.
How long is it?
Diamax lists the shaft at 25 mm, its short version; the long reverse-thread mandrel is 70 mm.
Will a standard Super Cyclone tip fit?
No. Standard tips need the 35 mm (FBSM35) or 70 mm sleeved (FBSTIP-M) mandrel.
Does it include a tip?
No. The mandrel is sold on its own; tips are separate items.
