The 3M Multi Gas/Vapor Cartridge/Filter 60926 is a bayonet-mount combination cartridge that pairs a P100 particulate filter with a multi gas/vapor sorbent bed, for 3M 6000, 6500 and 7500 Series half and full facepieces, sold here as a single cartridge.

Facepieces use two cartridges, one per side, so order two for one mask. For dust and silica only, the lighter and cheaper choice is the 3M Particulate Filter 2091, P100; the 60926 is for shops that also handle solvent-based sealers, acetone, adhesives or acid cleaners and want one cartridge for both hazards.

Key Features

  • P100 particulate filter permanently attached: NIOSH-rated at least 99.97% efficiency against oil and non-oil aerosols
  • NIOSH-approved against ammonia, certain organic vapors, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, formaldehyde, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen sulfide, methylamine and sulfur dioxide
  • Bayonet connection fits 3M 6000 Series half and full facepieces, 6500 Series Rugged Comfort, 7500 Series and FF-400 Series
  • Swept-back, low-profile design for balance and field of view
  • One-step assembly: no separate filter, retainer or adapter needed
  • 3M ID 7000002041; sold as 1 cartridge here (3M case = 60; two are needed per facepiece)

Fitment

Fits the 3M Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 7503 (Large), 7502 (Medium) and 6300 (Large) and the 3M Full Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6800 sold in this catalogue. Two cartridges per facepiece. Use with a fit-tested facepiece under a written respirator program; change cartridges on a documented schedule or sooner if you smell, taste or feel irritation from the contaminant.

What This Cartridge Is Not For

Not the cartridge for particulate-only work: for grinding and cutting dust alone, use the 3M Particulate Filter 2091, P100, which is lighter and lower cost. Not for atmospheres immediately dangerous to life or health, oxygen-deficient spaces, or gases and vapors outside 3M's approval list (carbon monoxide, for example). Not compatible with 3M Secure Click or Versaflo PAPR systems, which use different connectors.

Who Is This For?

Fabricators and installers who run a 3M 6000 or 7500 Series facepiece and are exposed to both silica dust and chemical vapors, from acetone and solvent-based sealers to epoxy and polyester adhesives and acidic cleaners, and want one cartridge instead of a filter-plus-cartridge stack.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this one cartridge or a pair?

One cartridge. A 3M half or full facepiece takes two, so order a quantity of two for each mask.

What is the difference between the 60926 and the 60923?

Both carry a P100 particulate filter. The 60923 is approved for organic vapors and acid gases only; the 60926 is the multi gas/vapor version that adds ammonia, methylamine, formaldehyde and other gases to that list.

Which 3M masks does it fit?

Any 3M bayonet facepiece: the 6000 Series half and full facepieces, 6500 Series Rugged Comfort, 7500 Series (7501, 7502, 7503) and FF-400 Series.

Do I still need a separate P100 filter?

No. The P100 filter is built into the cartridge, so there is nothing else to add.

How long does a cartridge last?

3M does not publish a fixed service life. Follow your change-out schedule based on the contaminant and concentration, and replace immediately if you smell, taste or feel irritation from the contaminant or breathing becomes hard.
