The Superior Stone Products Water-Clear Polyester Stone Adhesive in the flowing grade is a pourable, water-clear polyester stone adhesive supplied in a quart bottle and cured with 1% to 2% clear liquid hardener (MEKP).

Key Features

  • Cures with 1% to 2% clear liquid hardener (MEKP), added at mixing.
  • Flowing grade: Superior describes this viscosity as a thick syrup, so it pours and levels rather than standing up in a bead.
  • Quart bottle. The knife grade quart of the same water-clear resin is packaged in a can, item 200-01010-10.
  • The resin is water-clear and can be tinted with Superior Coloring Paste to match the stone.
  • Superior publishes this line in two viscosities only, Flowing and Knife Grade; the resin is the same in both.

Who Is This For?

Stone fabrication shops and countertop makers who want a clear-resin polyester bond line rather than a pigmented one, and who need the adhesive to flow into and level out in a void instead of sitting on top of it. The quart is a bench-side size for one or two jobs rather than a production container.

What This Is Not For

This is a fabrication adhesive, not a setting adhesive. It is the wrong product for bonding stone or tile down to plywood, backer board, concrete or masonry; use the Superior Stone Products E-1500-S Tile & Stone Setting Epoxy for that. It is also the wrong viscosity for anything that has to hold its shape while it cures, where the Superior Stone Products Water-Clear Polyester Stone Adhesive - Quart, Knife Grade is the paste version of the same resin.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much hardener does the water-clear polyester take?

Superior's Water-Clear Polyester adhesive is cured with 1% to 2% clear liquid hardener (MEKP).

What is the difference between the flowing and the knife grade version?
