The MUSTANG H 7-Step Polishing Pad is a 4 in. resin diamond polishing pad in #1500 grit, step 6 of a seven-step ladder for polishing engineered stone, granite and marble. Ocean Diamond builds the H series with a small-brick segment pattern that increases the flexibility of the pad; the resin layer is 1/8 in. (3 mm) thick and the pad is rated to a 4,000 RPM maximum. This grit is the second-to-last step, which brings the surface close to its final gloss before the #3000 finish.

Engineered stone is wet-only on this pad; Ocean Diamond allows dry or wet use on granite and marble. The full ladder runs #50, #100, #200, #400, #800, #1500 and #3000, each sold as its own listing, so the #1500 pad follows the #800 pad and is followed by the #3000 pad. It is not a porcelain or ultra-compact pad — for Dekton, porcelain and ultra-compact edges use the Diamax Cyclone Ultra Wet/Dry Pad – 4 in., for Dekton, Porcelain & Ultra-Compact.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does #1500 sit in the sequence?

It is step 6 of seven, a near-finish grit — most of the gloss is developed here and the #3000 pad completes it.

Can it be used dry?

On granite and marble, yes — Ocean Diamond allows dry or wet use. On engineered stone the pad is wet-only.

What is the maximum speed?

The H series is rated to a 4,000 RPM maximum.

How thick is the resin?

1/8 in. (3 mm).

Does it come as a set?

No. Each grit is sold as its own pad; buy the seven grits you need to build the ladder.
