The Vincent CNC drainboard grooving router is a 0.59 in. (15 mm) single-pass drainboard grooving router for cutting drainage grooves into granite and engineered stone on a CNC.

Spindle speed: 4,000–6,000 RPM
Feed rate: 8–20 in./min (200–500 mm/min)

Diameter: 0.59 in. (15 mm) · Groove radius: 0.30 in. (7.5 mm) · Working length: 0.79 in. (20 mm) · Grit: M9 · Fitting: 1/2 in. Gas

Key Features

  • Cuts a 0.30 in. (7.5 mm) radius groove — the finished groove profile comes straight off the tool, so the drainboard is finished off the machine with no hand blending.
  • Vincent publishes 4,000–6,000 RPM at 8–20 in./min (200–500 mm/min) for the whole grooving range, so the parameters do not change as you step through a set.
  • Listed by Vincent as single-pass. Grit M9.
  • 1/2 in. Gas fitting.

Who Is This For

A shop cutting drainboards on the CNC. Single-pass tools do the whole groove in one run, which is what makes drainboards viable in a high-production shop rather than a special order.

It is not a profiling wheel and not for cutting through material. Grooves are surface work: Vincent asks that at least 0.20 in. (5 mm) of material be left under a groove, and on ceramic slab that limit is not negotiable.

For technical ceramics and Dekton, Vincent lists a separate CERAM grooving range — the granite bond glazes on ceramic.

Frequently Asked Questions

What speed and feed for drainboard grooving?
Vincent publishes 4,000–6,000 RPM at 8–20 in./min (200–500 mm/min).

How deep can I cut?
Vincent's guidance is to leave at least 0.20 in. (5 mm) of material beneath the groove. For deeper removal, take more passes rather than one heavy pass.

Is this one tool or part of a set?
Vincent lists it as single-pass.

What does it fit?
A 1/2 in. Gas tool holder.
