The TST Photon G Cut and Grind Blade is a 5 in. sintered diamond multi-cutter blade for cutting and grinding granite, quartzite and engineered stone on an angle grinder, wet or dry.

It is a flush-cutting design: a quad adaptor hub with a flange and four bolts mounts the blade without a lock nut in the way, so it can cut and grind right up against a wall or backsplash. One blade handles cutting, grinding and sanding-type clean-up, which is why installers keep it on the grinder for site work. Tile and Stone Technologies also makes the Photon M for marble, travertine and limestone and the Photon P for porcelain and Dekton; this G version carries the granite bond.

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials is the Photon G for?

Granite, quartzite and engineered stone (quartz). Tile and Stone Technologies notes it also works well on concrete and brick.

Can it grind as well as cut?

Yes. It is sold as a multi-cutter for cutting, grinding and sanding-type clean-up on stone.

What is the quad adaptor hub?

A hub with a flange and four bolts that mounts the blade flush, without a lock nut protruding, so you can cut and grind against a vertical surface.

Wet or dry?

Both. The bond is rated for wet and dry use.

Will it work on marble or porcelain?

It is the granite bond. Tile and Stone Technologies makes the Photon M for marble, travertine and limestone and the Photon P for porcelain and Dekton.
