Diamax Cyclone Electroplated Marble Blade – 5 in.
The Diamax Cyclone Electroplated Marble Blade is a 5 in. electroplated blade for straight cuts in marble with a thin electroplated rim.
Electroplating bonds a single layer of diamond directly to a thin steel core, so the blade removes very little material and leaves a fine edge — at the cost of a core too thin to steer.
Key Features
- Electroplated diamond on a thin core
- Straight cuts only — the core is too thin to turn
- Runs on an angle grinder or hand saw, wet or dry
Not Recommended For
Straight cuts only. Do not use it for curves or sink cut-outs — the thin core will flex and bind. Use a contour blade for shaped work, and the Diamax Super Cyclone Electroplated Marble Blade – 5 in. where you need side protection and a thicker core for quad adapters.
Who Is This For?
Marble fabricators and restoration trades making fine straight cuts where a segmented blade would chip the arris.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an electroplated blade for?
Fine cutting in soft stone. A single plated layer of diamond removes very little material and leaves a clean edge.
Can I cut a sink opening with it?
No. The core is thin and straight cuts only; a curved cut will flex and bind the blade.
What is the difference between this and the Super version?
The Super Cyclone blade adds side protection and a thicker core that accepts quad adapters. This one is the thin-core straight-cut blade.
Wet or dry?
Both, on an angle grinder or hand saw.
