The Aardwolf Stone Grapple ASG grabs and lifts irregularly shaped boulders, rocks, and debris with three serrated tines and a manufacturer-stated working load limit of 4,408 lb (2,000 kg). The jaw opens from 13 3/4 in. to 47 1/4 in. (350–1,200 mm), and an internally housed actuator sequences grip and release automatically — one operator, no hydraulics.

Not the right tool for: finished or polished stone — the serrated tines are made to bite raw rock and will mark dressed surfaces.

Who Is This For

Landscape and civil crews loading boulders onto trucks, and quarry or stoneyard operators moving irregular rock with a single machine and operator.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the automatic cycle work?
A: An internal actuator alternates states each time the grapple is set down: lower onto the rock and lift to grip; set the rock down and lift to release.

Q: Does it need a power source?
A: No. The mechanism is fully mechanical — it hangs from a crane hook, excavator, or loader with no hydraulic or electric connection.

Q: Why three tines instead of two?
A: Three contact points self-center on irregular shapes, giving a stable lift on boulders that a two-jaw clamp would twist around.
