The Aardwolf Horizontal Stone Lifting Clamp AHLC-730 carries slabs and blocks lying flat, gripping from 11 in. up to 28 in. It hangs from a crane, gantry, or large forklift boom and closes under load, so the workpiece cannot slip once the lift begins.

Not the right tool for: vertical (edge-up) lifting — use a slab lifter or scissor clamp lifter for upright handling.

Key Features

  • Grip range 11 in. to 28 in. (280–730 mm), the compact model in the AHLC family
  • Gravity-controlled clamping: closes when lifted, opens when the load is set down
  • High-friction rubber pads protect polished faces and are replaceable
  • Suits cranes, gantries, and large forklift booms
  • Steel construction built for daily yard and shop use

What's Included

One AHLC-730 clamp. Rotation pads and the limit-stop accessory are sold separately.

Who Is This For

Slab yards and fabricators moving stone flat off saws, tables, and trucks — anywhere a horizontal pick is safer than tilting the piece upright first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does it need power or air?
A: No. The clamping action is gravity-controlled and fully mechanical.

Q: Will the pads mark a polished surface?
A: The jaws are lined with high-friction rubber made for finished stone; worn pads can be replaced rather than replacing the clamp.

Q: What if my pieces are wider than 28 in.?
A: Step up the family: the AHLC-1050, AHLC-1370, and AHLC-2010 extend the same design to wider grips.
