The VSM CP501 Silicon Carbide Sandpaper Disc is a 4 in. hook-and-loop disc used to sand and refine stone, glass, ceramic, composite, steel and wood, in 320 grit with a 3/8 in. center hole, supplied 100 per box. VSM publishes the CP501 line as a silicon carbide grain on an E-Paper backing, full-resin bonded and close coated. In this range 320 grit is a fine finishing disc.
This is a coated abrasive on a paper backing, not a diamond disc. It sands and refines a surface; it will not grind hard stone flat or take out a saw cut. For that, use a diamond tool — the SIERRA Resin-Filled Diamond Cup Wheel, 4 in., for grinding, or the Alpha Ceramica Resin Wet Polishing Disc for wet polishing.

CP501. VSM publishes no product called CP501K. The part list reads "CP501 SAOK", and the CP501K code came from running the line name together with the suffix. If you have been ordering CP501K, this is the disc you want.
What does it mount on?
Any hook-and-loop backer pad of the same diameter. In this catalogue that includes the Alpha Flexible Backer Pad and Alpha Rigid Backer Pad, both 5/8 in.-11 thread, and the BRUIN Backer Pad, 4 in.
